Greetings, Nouvel Catholic Central Families - 
 
As we enter the beautiful season of Advent, I pray that our students, families and faculty are filled with the gifts of hope, peace, joy and love. While we celebrate the blessings this season brings, I, together with our Board of Trustees, want to pause and offer gratitude for all that Nouvel has accomplished this year. We are equally excited for the growth and graces the new year will bring as we complete the final year of our current Strategic Plan and prepare to share the goals that will guide our next five years. 
 
We remain deeply grateful for each of our students and families who choose Nouvel and entrust us with their child’s education. It is truly a privilege to serve your family and help form the next generation of courageous leaders. We are likewise thankful for our dedicated faculty and staff, whose faithful commitment to our mission is a daily blessing to our community. We are also excited to share the success of several new initiatives that continue to enrich the student experience at Nouvel.
 
Enrollment Growth & Student Opportunities
As we began the 2025-26 school year, we were grateful to welcome back 93% of our Nouvel families. With the continued support of our returning families and welcoming new families to campus, our overall enrollment has grown by 6% over the previous school year. We celebrate this growth with great joy, as it reflects the strength of our partnership with current families and allows even more to become part of our Panther family. 
 
In addition to the elementary growth, we have previously shared, this year we added a third section of 2nd grade and have committed to offering a third section of 3rd grade next school year. This marks the fifth consecutive year that NCC has expanded by adding an additional classroom, allowing us to welcome more students while keeping class sizes small and personalized.
 
At our high school and junior high campus, we continue to expand the opportunities available to our students. We are proud to offer a wide variety of vigorous coursework and to build on the strong traditions of our athletics and fine arts programs. It is a joy to watch our students shine both in and out of the classroom, as we provide meaningful experiences for service, leadership and living their faith each day. 
 
Across each campus, we have been blessed to receive outstanding renovations and improvements thanks to the support of our annual Nouvel: A Night to Shine Gala. With funding from the 2nd annual event, we welcomed an enhanced STEM lab at the elementary and beautifully renovated Performing Arts Center at the high school and junior high. Thanks to the support of our generous families, we proudly partner with the Sheriff’s department to have two outstanding School Resource Officers to help ensure the safety of our students, staff and guests on each campus. With all of these positive and unique opportunities, it truly is a great time to be a Panther.

Continuous Enrollment
Our goal is to make the re-enrollment process clear and seamless for our families. Current families and staff can secure their preschool spot for the 2026-27 school year beginning January 8, one week before open preschool enrollment. Information about continuous enrollment for Young Fives and higher grades will be shared during Catholic Schools Week (January 26), giving families the opportunity to review and update their continuous enrollment contracts. Updated family commitments, along with FACTS tuition assistance applications, will be due by March 2, 2026, allowing our administrators ample time to plan effectively for the upcoming school year.
 
Tuition Update
Through collaboration with the finance committee, Nouvel administrative team and the Board of Trustees, we are sharing the 2026-27 tuition updates (view here). To continue providing the outstanding educational experience your children deserve, we will be making a modest tuition increase. This ensures we can continue offering the resources, programs and opportunities that help our students grow, thrive and succeed.

• Tuition will increase by 5%, resulting in an average monthly increase of $35-$45 per student over 10 months
• A $250 tuition deposit will be collected at registration to secure student enrollment and confirm eligibility for summer athletics, band and extracurricular activity participation. This deposit will be applied as a credit on family tuition accounts in July 2026. 
• Nouvel is blessed with the support of our Catholic parishes, who provide significant funding to help offset the true cost of education. Thanks to their generous contributions, over $1,600 per student is provided to support our operating budget and keep tuition lower for families. We humbly ask that you thank your parish priest today. 

 
Scholarships & Tuition Assistance
At Nouvel, we make every effort to increase accessibility to a premiere education, through offering needs-based aid/assistance opportunities. Nouvel has streamlined our tuition assistance process by working with FACTS, a third-party grant and aid assessment tool. Additionally, through our partnership with the Catholic Community Foundation of Mid-Michigan (CCFMM), scholarship opportunities are available for families attending Nouvel.
 

• CCFMM Catholic school scholarships are available online and families can apply now through January 31st.  A full list of available scholarships and the link to apply can be found online (view here).
• Families will be required to complete or update a Nouvel FACTS application by Monday, March 2nd, to be considered for 2026-27 tuition assistance, scholarships or additional discounts. A families’ FACTS application will be used for both opportunities (CCFMM and Tuition Assistance).
• This service will provide our tuition assistance committee with verified information to best assist in the disbursement of our financial aid dollars.  
• FACTS applications can be completed online any time after December 10th and will ask for information from your 2024 tax return. Those that previously submitted a FACTS application will not need to create a new account, just update/verify information.
