Book TastingOur fourth graders have learned the basics and start applying those skills more deeply. With increased responsibilities and maturity, they love being the "big kid" in the prayer buddy friendships and exploring more advanced material in the classrooms. Our teachers specialize in subject matter so the students switch between the classrooms for math and science, and reading and social studies. This will continue through the rest of their time at the elementary campus. They are challenged with projects and challenged with being able to present in front of the class, developing additional skills that will serve them longer term.

• Accelerated Reader - brag tags & incentives for achieving goals
• NWEA Testing 3 times/year in math, science, reading & language arts
• Students switch classrooms for content lessons with each teacher
• Salmon Project: work with DNR, students see 4/6 stages of the salmon lifecycle, water testing, data collection, engineering ideas before salmon are released to the river
• Learn the recorder & ukulele in music
• Suitcase project in Social Studies
• Explore different book genres in ELA
