Thank you for supporting the Nouvel theater program!

We are proud of our talented Panthers and the Nouvel Catholic Central Theater program! It has been an incredible year and we are grateful that you were a part of it. We wanted to share a few highlights below and recognize the hard work of our students, staff and theater leadership.

In the fall, our Panthers performed The Wizard of Oz, including a special and unforgettable performance at the Temple Theatre. Both shows at Nouvel were sold out and hosting our finale performance at the Temple allowed us to achieve a new record for overall attendance.

This winter, we hosted a Desserts and Drama gathering! It was a wonderful evening celebrating our talented theater students and their dedication to their craft. Our high school and junior high actors treated guests to their one-act performances and a couple of solos. The event also allowed us the opportunity to officially welcoming some of our Panthers into the International Thespian Society, a huge honor for our students. Over the past three years, students have volunteered between 300-400 hours as actors, student directors, stage managers and important roles behind the scenes in lighting, sound, sets, costumes, choreography and so much more. Congratulations to those inducted! 

This spring, we hosted three well-attended performances of Shrek the Musical Jr. Our cast was notably younger than in past productions, ranging from first grade through eleventh, and featured many new Panthers stepping onto the stage. We look forward to watching these talented actors continue to grow and shine in future performances.

We also appreciate the support in our community. We are ecstatic to share the news that our theater program is being recognized by the Saginaw Arts & Enrichment Commission! Nouvel Catholic Central theater was one of ten individuals/organizations nominated for contributing to the region’s cultural landscape and will be honored at its 36th Annual All Area Arts Awards on May 6, 2026.

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful theater team for their leadership, guidance and encouragement throughout the year. We are equally grateful to our theater families and other supporters, including community members who generously support the Nouvel Gala. One of the Gala's prior fund-a-need projects, allowed us to add capacity to our Performing Arts Center (PAC), enjoy an updated lights and sound booth, and brought additional updates to the PAC. 

Our Panther community continues to show up strong, Nouvel Strong. We are truly blessed with an incredibly supportive community!
