Saint ProjectFifth graders are developing into the leaders in campus. They further grow in their presentation skills, critical thinking and organization. They have unique opportunities throughout the year across all core subjects through the All Saints project and STEM focused field trips. Their service to others expands to a morning or two spent at the East Side Soup Kitchen, seeing first hand the difference they can make in the community. Opportunities through science fair, battle of the books, band and athletics allow them to explore individual interests and be part of a team. It is a pivotal year that they strengthen their academic skills, social awareness and confidence in new, exciting ways.

Facts about 5th grade:

• Saints Project- outline, research paper, 1st person speech, use of note cards, etc. 
• Focus on public speaking & group presentations
• Students switch classrooms for content lessons with each teacher
• Religion projects: All Saints Mass/Saints Museum (Nov.), and Stations of the Cross (Lent)
• More hands on science opportunities and exploration field trips
• Opportunities to get involved in Battle of the books
• Family Life Program
• Grade level athletic programs available
