Dr. Macek has nearly two decades of experience in educational leadership, policy and instruction across Catholic, private, and public education systems, as well as higher education settings. Her background includes leading secondary school initiatives, developing innovative STEAM and experiential learning programs, mentoring doctoral candidates, and advancing statewide education policy through research, legislative engagement and strategic advocacy. Through her vast educational experience, she has consistently demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence, student success, faculty development, and collaborative leadership.
For the 2026-27 school year, she will step into the role as principal at the junior high and high school campus. Dr. Macek shared, “I am honored to serve as Nouvel Catholic Central's next junior high/high school principal. It will be a privilege to partner with such dedicated faculty, staff, and parents to support students in their education and faith journey. I’m incredibly grateful for the community’s support and overjoyed to join the Nouvel family in this role.”
Dr. Macek and her husband Mark have two sons, Michael, a student at Michigan Tech and NCC Class of 2025 graduate, and Andrew, a current NCC high school student. The Macek family are proud parishioners of The Cathedral of Mary the Assumption.
