Mr. Peter Bartels is a Nouvel Alumna and has taught at Nouvel for 29 years. He has a Bachelor's of Arts in International Relations from Michigan State University. He then attended Saginaw Valley State University to obtain his teaching certification and has a Master's Degree in American History and Government from Ashland University. He has also obtained his Basic Catechist Certification. 

He loves teaching at Nouvel because, "We seek to know, love and serve the Lord. Liturgy, worship, service and encountering and celebrating our faith in Jesus, the Word incarnate whom the Father sent to save us."

Mr. Bartels and his wife, Kathy, have four children, all of whom went to St. Thomas/Nouvel. Their youngest is currently in high school at Nouvel. The family attends Holy Family Parish.
