Mrs. Chelsea Iles is one of our Spanish teachers at the high school and junior high campus. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from Adrian College in 2012, majoring in Spanish, Social Studies and Elementary Education. She went on to earn a Master's Degree from Marygrove College in 2016. 

During college, she spent a semester studying abroad in Puebla, Mexico. Mrs. Iles lived with a host family, took classes at La Universidad Iberoamericana, traveled throughout Mexico, and fell in love with the Spanish language and culture. Her first two years of teaching were spent teaching high school Spanish at Kearsley High School before she moved to Nouvel and taught for four years. We welcome Mrs. Iles back for the 2026-27 school year after taking a break to spend time with her two beautiful children.

When asked why she loved working at Nouvel, she shared, "I loved the family feel and environment. I loved the relationships formed with students, parents, and fellow staff members. I also loved sharing my knowledge and passion for the Spanish language and culture with students and seeing their excitement as they learned and grew in their own knowledge."

Mrs. Iles has been married to her husband, Ryan, since 2012. We love to travel as often as possible, domestically and internationally. They have two children, Brayden and Brooklyn, who are both proud Panthers, and two pups, Sofia and Sadie. Faith is the foundation of their family and Mrs. Iles shared, "I feel blessed to be able to work in a place where I can feel, share and teach about the love of God."
