Mrs. Kira (Deisler) Garland is an alumna of Nouvel Catholic Central, Class of 2008. She graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with a Bachelor of Arts, Spanish K-12. She previously taught for 11 years as a Spanish teacher and Director of Student Activities for Clearwater Central Catholic High School in Clearwater, Florida and 1 year as a Spanish teacher at Saginaw High School.
Mrs. Garland shared, "I love being a part of the Nouvel community because it's brought me back to where I grew up. It's an amazing community of family, friendship and faith and just feels like home. I'm so happy that my daughters get to grow up in the same wonderful community I did."
For the 2025-26 school year, she is moving from a preschool classroom and back to teaching Spanish. As she prepares for the new year, she said, "I'm looking forward to getting to know all the students in my new role as a Spanish teacher as well as sharing my love for the Spanish language and Hispanic culture."
Her girls, Stella and Sloan, are proud Panthers. The family are members of St. Thomas Aquinas Parish.
