Nouvel Catholic Central Schools is proud to announce the hiring of three new staff members. Please help us welcome Elizabeth Lawler Christensen, Edwin Sprague and Brian Hart to the Panther family.
 
Elizabeth Lawler Christensen will serve as a High School English Language Arts instructor. Christensen has a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with Secondary Certification, both from Carlow University in Pittsburgh, Penn. She brings nearly 30 years of experience in teaching and leading. Christensen lives in Midland with her husband, Chad, and their three teenage boys Jacob, Ethan and Ryan. The Christensen’s are members at Blessed Sacrament Church in Midland. 
 
“Walking into Nouvel feels very much like coming home,” said Christensen. “Our journey together in literature, writing and faith awaits.”
 
Edwin Sprague will serve as the new High School Director of Facilities. Sprague holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saginaw Valley State University and Master’s degree from Ball State University. Throughout his career he has worked in school settings as well as managing daily operations at local businesses. Sprague lives in Saginaw with his wife Jenny. The Sprague’s are members at St. Thomas Aquinas Church and have two children, Tyler and McKenzie.
 
“I’ve been very blessed to be welcomed into this community,” said Sprague. “I am looking forward to being more involved at Nouvel in this new position.”
 
Brian Hart will serve as Athletic Director for Nouvel Catholic Central Schools. Hart is a Nouvel alum and has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saginaw Valley State University. He has been actively involved in the Nouvel Catholic Central Elementary Athletic Boosters since 2012, serving in the past as treasurer and most recently as President. Hart and his wife, Hazel, live in Saginaw with their two children, Abigail and Brian. They are members of St. Thomas Aquinas Church.
 
“It is with great honor that I accept this position of Athletic Director,” said Hart. “I understand the tradition of academic and athletic excellence that a faith-filled education at Nouvel offers. As with my predecessors, I will serve our community with grace and compassion.”
 
“I am excited about the unique skill set and experiences each new member of our team will bring to Nouvel,” said Superintendent, Cormac Lynn. “It is a great blend of knowledge of the Nouvel traditions and fresh educational and professional insight to move our school forward.”

The announcement was made at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 28. An email will be sent to Nouvel families as soon as our email system is able to send it out.
